About

Hi, I’m Jack Daly.

I’m 18 years old, and my goal is to become the best
Strength and Conditioning Coach I can be.

This site is where I write about athletic performance.
Most of what I write isn’t original. But I promise I won’t use AI (It is tempting), I read a lot and research a lot, and what I do is pull learnings from elite coaches and athletes and turn them into actionable steps you can use right away. Honestly, teaching is the best way to learn, so I’m benefiting from this too. I just love the topic and love talking about it.

I write about things like how to stay calm under
pressure, how to build an elite mindset, training for
strength, power, and endurance, peaking for competition,
recovering properly, sleep, and which books are worth
reading on each of these. Most of all, I write about how
to actually put what you learn into daily action. Because
reading and knowing is one thing, but applying it
consistently is what separates average athletes from
the rest.

HOW THIS HELPS YOU

If you’re an athlete who wants to get better, the goal
of everything I write is to give you something you can
actually start doing. Not theory you forget about by
next week. Small, simple steps that compound over time
into real progress.

I don’t know everything. I’m figuring this out alongside
you. But I believe consistency beats intensity, habits
build the elite athlete, and the people who win long-term
are the ones who show up every day with quiet obsession.

Every week I send The Peak Performance Newsletter. One
idea from me, three insights from elite coaches and
athletes, and one question to think about for the week.

Sport/hobbies

I play Gaelic football for my local club. I didn’t make county panels or school football teams growing up, so I know about failure. That experience shaped a lot of how I think now. Outside of football, I lift, walk the dog, and read constantly.

Favourite Sporting Moments

The best sporting moment I watched recently was the 2025 All-Ireland final, Kerry vs Donegal. David Clifford is
the GOAT. I also got to an NBA game at Christmas. Donovan Mitchell is a pure athletic freak.

Plans for the future

In the future, I want to open a performance-focused gym. The kind of place that feels like a real professional
sports team setup. That’s the long-term build. For now I’m here, learning, writing, and trying to become the best version of the coach I want to be.
